The Modbury School Community Group is a group of parents who support the school in many ways. This group of dedicated parents meet over a cuppa and plan events to fundraise for specific achievements that directly support student’s e.g. our new planned playground.
Regular events that are managed by this group are the Father’s and Mother’s Day Stalls, student disco and community barbecues.
This group embodies the value Modbury School has in encouraging authentic parent voice.
The meetings are organised by parent representatives, supported and attended by the principal and EALD staff. Meetings have discussion points that families who have English as a Second Language are looking to learn more about.
Meetings are held each term, food is shared and conversations occur that explain and demonstrate how students learn at our school. This is a wonderful way to build parent-school partnerships.
